Why we made this

Delivering a baby is a superhuman effort, but every hero needs a sidekick. For you, that’s us.

We’re here to support you through every step of your pregnancy journey. That means caring for you immediately after you give birth — when you need it most.

Breastfeeding is a natural process, and yet 92% of people experience breastfeeding problems. [1] Kin’s Breastfeeding Essentials are designed to help you through these challenges.

Mastitis

Around 1 in 5 breastfeeding mums get mastitis, a painful infection of the breast tissue usually caused by a blocked milk duct. [2]

Cracked Nipples

Sore, cracked, or bleeding nipples affects around 50% of breastfeeding people in the first week after birth. Engorgement can also lead to dry and irritated skin.

Leaking Breast

Breasts can leak, drip or even spray milk in the weeks (and sometimes months) after delivery. This can be exacerbated by an overabundant milk supply.

Engorgement

When the breast tissue overfills with milk, blood, and other fluids, it can make your breasts feel full, swollen, hard, or painful.

Oversupply / Undersupply

Oversupply can cause engorgement and discomfort, while a low supply means there may not be enough breast milk produced to meet your baby’s growth needs.

When should I start taking a Prenatal supplement?

Nutritional experts recommend to take a prenatal around 3 months before starting to try for a family. This is because it takes a while to reach a new nutritional status.

It's crucial to reach these optimal nutrient levels before becoming pregnant, because the initial weeks of a baby's life are critical.

In the first 28 days, some of their most important organs begin to form, such as the heart and neural tube, which become the brain and spinal cord.

As most women don't find out that they are pregnant until around 4-8 weeks, it's important that your body is ready to support the baby, before you even know they are there.

Are the capsules easy to swallow?

The Prenatal capsules are about two centimeters in length and one centimeter in width, about the same size as a standard multivitamin tablet.

I’m not pregnant or trying to have a baby. Can I still take The Prenatal?

Yes—if you aren’t taking precautionary methods to prevent a pregnancy, but aren’t actively trying, it’s still recommended you take a prenatal.

Many healthy and happy pregnancies are unintended, and by the time many mums-to-be find out that they are pregnant, most of the available benefits of a prenatal could have been vastly beneficial (especially baby’s neural tube development).

How often should I take The Prenatal?

Two capsules, daily. Easy!

Does The Prenatal have a flavour?

No. Our environmentally-friendly, chemical-free extraction process eliminates virtually all traces of taste and odour.

How many capsules come in the jar?

60.

Should I double my dose if I’m expecting twins?

Some doctors recommend an increased dose of folate if you’re expecting twins, but our formula contains 11 other ingredients too. We don’t advise taking more than two capsules a day, but this is something that should be discussed with your doctor.
