What to do before getting pregnant?

The first step to take on the conception journey is to schedule an appointment with your doctor. Here, they will ask you about your medical, surgical, and reproductive history, diet, weight, and exercise load, as well as any diseases or illnesses that may run in your family.

Then, you may like to look into things like fertility testing or genetic testing, while also making sure to start on a comprehensive prenatal vitamin at least 3 months before you start trying.

What are the best proven tips to conceive and get pregnant?

While we wish conception was an exact science, everyone’s circumstances are different. But, there are steps you can take to make the process a little easier.

Optimise your baby-making routine by:

• Tracking your menstrual cycle
• Scheduling sex in your 6-day fertile window
• Taking a prenatal vitamin

Level-up your body by:
• Quitting smoking
• Reducing alcohol consumption
• Keeping caffeine consumption low
• Using practices like meditation to keep stress in check
