Starting your period represents an entry into womanhood, your next step in the journey of life. It’s a rite of passage that we believe every girl deserves to celebrate and embrace.
At Kin, we wanted to turn this belief into reality. So we extended our partnership with The Cova Project, a charity who is transforming the landscape of period poverty across Liberia, Uganda and Malawi. We wanted to help them reach more young girls and women who deserve proper menstrual health and education.
For every purchase of a Kin product during 8 - 31 March, we pledged to donate $7 to their mission — which covers the cost of producing one menstrual cup.

Spreading cups full of hope.
Since International Women’s Day, hundreds of women in the Kin community have joined our mission to raise a total of $37,969.
At $7 a cup, that’s roughly 5,424 menstrual cups that we will be providing to those who need them most. That’s over 5,000 girls and women we can empower to go to work and school despite their period.
How can $7 help transform a life?
$7 is what it costs to produce one menstrual cup for a girl in need. This cup can be reused for approx. 10 years meaning that the impact from one cup will be felt for years to come.

Who is The Cova Project?
The Cova Project provides sustainable menstrual health solutions and education for girls and women in developing communities across Liberia, Uganda and Malawi.
They work with local partners to provide menstrual cups and menstrual health education to girls and women who can't afford safe sanitary care.
Kin and The Cova Project have been partners since 2021 and through Kin's support The Cova Project has been able to provide over 2,600 cups to girls experiencing period poverty.
