Supporting new mums when they need it most
The postpartum period is one of the most nutritionally demanding phases of a woman’s life.
The majority of mum’s nutrient stores are lost during delivery, leaving her without the essential nutrients to support a newborn.
This is called postpartum depletion, and it can lead to brain fog, tiredness, hair loss and mood changes.

18 essential micronutrients

Our need for Biotin increases after giving birth — especially while lactating. Biotin is important to maintain and support energy production in your cells. As a bonus, it also helps to maintain healthy hair follicles.

We don’t often hear about Choline, but around 86% of women are not getting enough from their diet.
This low-key nutrient helps to support baby’s brain development and health when passed through breast milk.

Vitamin D is important because it helps the body absorb calcium.
We’ve added it in the form of Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), which is the same bioavailable form that is made naturally in the body when skin is exposed to sunlight.

Folate was our hero ingredient in our prenatal lineup. Well, its role is still just as crucial after you’ve given birth. Women need this nutrient to help support red blood cell formation.
Most supplements use Folic Acid as the key ingredient. However, studies have shown that approx. 1 in 3 people struggle to convert folic acid due to a common gene variant (the MTHFR-gene).
Kin's Postnatal is different. We use Methylated Folate (on the label as Levomefolate Calcium). This is the same Folate that's naturally found in your body. It's more bioavailable than Folic Acid and can be absorbed well by everybody.

Magnesium is an essential element that plays many important roles in the human body. It helps to support much needed energy during postpartum.
We use Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate for its excellent bioavailability. It’s also gentle on the stomach.

Iron is a ferrous substance that never takes a day off. It carries oxygen all around the body via the blood, and is vital for maintaining healthy energy levels.
Many new mums are low in iron after giving birth due to blood loss, so it’s important to replenish this important nutrient during the postpartum period.
We’ve used Ferrochel™ , a patented form of Iron that is easily carried unaffected through the intestine and into the target tissues. And, unlike many other iron supplements on the market, this one won’t make you constipated.

Vitamin B12 is used to maintain energy levels at a cellular level and develop red blood cells. It also plays a role in supporting our nervous system health. We’ve used the natural form of B12 called Methylcobalamin which you find in food sources like fish, meat, eggs, and milk.

Vitamin K plays a crucial role in bone health, ensuring healthy bone development and growth.

Zinc is vitally important to help support your immune system. But there’s a catch: up to 80% of women don’t have enough Zinc in their system naturally. This is especially true for vegans and vegetarians.

B Vitamins are important for supporting your energy levels. They help the body convert food into energy and create new blood cells.
After birth, our B vitamin stores are depleted, so we’ve included Vitamin B1, B2 and B3 in our Postnatal to help replenish your stores and support energy levels.

Selenium is an antioxidant that helps to reduce inflammation.

Vitamin A helps to support normal immune function. However, around 40% of lactating women aren’t consuming enough.

Calcium is essential to helping build strong bones. However, on its own it’s not always easily absorbed. So we added Vitamin D and Vitamin K to help your body better absorb this essential nutrient.

Why we left out the Omega-3
New mums need 300mg each day, which is more than we could comfortably fit into our capsules.
Which is why we’ve designed a specialised Omega-3 DHA supplement.
