Our bodily systems are connected—especially for people with vaginas, it’s common for bacteria to spread. (That’s why it’s recommended to urinate after sex, for example!) Our probiotic contains UREX™️, a clinically-proven blend of probiotics that supports both urinary and vaginal health.
Our Vaginal Probiotic contains a specialised blend of probiotics that are clinically-proven to support a balanced bacterial environment in the vagina, as well as supporting healthy vaginal flora/microflora.5
A balanced vaginal environment plays a central role to women’s health, reproduction, and general wellbeing. Essentially, probiotics are the good bacteria, which help support optimal levels of vaginal flora and may in turn reduce the likelihood of infection.
Whatever time is best for you! However, it is recommended to take The Vaginal Probiotic after meals
If you're experiencing early signs of cystitis or suspect another urinary tract infection, you should speak to your healthcare professional. Please note the presence of blood in the urine warrants immediate medical attention. Some recommended actions in the meantime include drinking plenty of fluids to flush out any bacteria. Holding onto urine for a long time allows the bacteria to multiply, often leading to urinary tract infection. It’s also recommended to pee after sex to avoid any spread of bacteria, and to always wipe front to back after going to the toilet. Both are mitigation strategies that don't replace the need for medical attention if serious.
Bacteria are the most common culprit of UTIs. An infection develops when microbes enter the urinary tract, the most common being Escherichia coli (E. coli).
Nope. People can develop urinary tract infections without any sexual activity. It’s a common misconception that UTIs are caused by sex or poor hygiene, when that isn’t the case at all. Some women find urinating after sex helps reduce the chances of developing a UTI, but it’s still bacteria that triggers an infection.
